Maybelline Colossal Kajal

Heyyy Girls!!!
I've been wanting to review today's product forever but somehow never got down to actually doing it. After I re-purchased it for the fourth time last weekend, I finally decided to write a post on one of my favourite kajal/kohl pencil.

Reviewing today, Maybelline Colossal Kajal.

Maybelline says :

"COLOSSAL INTENSITY

Our Deepest black pigments + unique tip deliver the blackest black shine ever. Color glides on smooth and so intense!

COLOSSAL WEAR

Never before 6 hours of smudge resistant wear. Our exclusive color fix formula gurantees intense color results that won't smudge, budge or fade. No more touch ups.

COLOSSAL CARE

The ultimate in care with a combination of 5 caring ingredients. Formula enriched with Vitamin E soothes the eyes."

Price : INR 150

Quantity : 0.35 gms.

Available at : All Maybelline kiosks at Shoppers Stop, Westside, Lifestyle etc.

I don't know where to start raving about this kajal. I love it sooooo much. Okay, lets begin with the mechanical, roller style pencil. I'm sure just like me, all you girl's must pretty much detest the sharpening part of the regular eye liner pencils. Any expensive eye pencil is not going to do even half the job unless it has a well sharpened tip.Hence, keeping your kajal in ship shape is essential for getting the striking, kohl lined eyes you desire.

Maybelline Colossal Kajal comes in a eye-catchy yellow mechanical pencil with the branding in black font. The pencil can be easily twisted open to reveal the kajal reducing wastage of time and product while manually sharpening. The kajal has a formula with 5 caring ingredients and is enriched with Vitamin E to soothe your eyes. The pigment of the kajal is dark and comes with the promise of no fading, smudging or budging. Let's find out if it stands true to its word.

Application :
Use as required on your lash line or water line.
Single stroke of Maybelline Colossal Kajal

Pro's of Maybelline Colossal Kajal :
  • Inexpensive
  • Does not need frequent touch up's making it last for a long time
  • Does not give raccoon eyes even when you cry, sweat or sleep with it on
  • Is safe for lens users and those with sensitive eyes

Cons of Maybelline Colossal Kajal :
  • Does fade slightly after a couple of hours but nothing so drastic that many would notice

Kajal fades slightly with rigorous rubbing
Kajal fades with rigorous rubbing

To Splurge or Not to Splurge :
Every Indian girl loves her kajal. If you are a daily kajal wearer like me, I would definitely suggest you try this one. With an extremely affordable price and long wear color pigment, this kajal is a dream come true for me. I wear it daily to the gym for my grueling work out routine and even at the end of it, while I'm dripping of sweat, this kajal still looks amazing in my eyes. This one gets a whole hearted recommendation from me.

Final Verdict :
Maybelline Colossal Kajal gets a 4.5/5 from me!

  2. Hey Raaga,
I have small eyes too, get it from my mom's side in Dehradun ;-P Imo, small eyed girls like you and me, look much sexier when we wear kajal/kohl in our eyes, to quote an example Bollywood actresses, Priety Zinta and Udita Goswami.
And thanks for the kind words, I'm indeed obsessed about anything to do with beauty and fitness, this blog being my outlet :-D

  6. Hey Pooja,
For thin lashes you need volume. I suggest you try L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara. I use it myself and have reviewed it on this blog. Read up and buy it if you like what you read/see.

    1. You could try lining your lash line with Maybelline Colossal kajal but make sure to use an eye base/primer benath it to prevent smudging and extend the wear time.

  10. Hey Harshita,
If you have big eyes, I suggest you line them with a thin, fine line on the waterline. Also, a fine line on the lashline would look pretty. Since your eyes will already call for attention, avoid doing too much eye makeup all at the same time. Opt for brown liners over black for day time or when you want to underplay your eyes.
    Hope this helps!
