John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo

Heyyy Girls!!!
Today's product was a chance purchase for me. I found this one at IIFA which is basically this huge store clost to my place that sells all sorts of imported cosmetics, toiletries and electronic items. You may find it difficult to buy this anywhere in India but for readers abroad this is a pretty familiar and easily available brand.

First a little information on Mr.John Frieda himself, courtesy the ever helpful Wikipedia. John Frieda (born June 1951) is an English celebrity hairstylist and founder of hair salon and hair product businesses. The hair product business was acquired in 2002 by Kao Corporation, Japan. The hair products he created are widely available in the United States and many other countries.

John Freida says :
"Smoothes, shines and aligns frizzy hair for instantly easier straight styling. Nourishes, softens and hydrates. Developed for all types of dry, frizz-prone hair. Tames frizz for instantly easier salon-straight styling results. Specially developed with a straight-defining complex, essential moisturisers and frizz-fighting silicone. Features a nourishing formula that’s the first step toward creating sleek strands that swing, shine and lay smoothly without fear of frizz . Gentle enough for everyday use. Safe for colour-treated hair."

Price : INR 495

Quantity : 250ml.

Available at : John Freida salons worldwide & IIFA outlets in Mumbai

The shampoo comes in a white tube with a silver flip top. You must squeeze the tube to dispense the shampoo which is pearl white in color. The texture of the shampoo is thick to medium in consistency, making it easy to evenly apply on your scalp. The shampoo foams well and smells like expensive salon products do, subtle and pleasant. I personally prefer John Freida's shampoo fragrance over TIGI and L'Oreal Professionnel hair products.

Application :
Wet hair. Take desired quantity of John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo and apply evenly over your scalp. Add a little more water to dilute the shampoo. Massage into your scalp and hair to create a rich foam. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Pro's of John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo :

  • Leaves hair soft and smooth to touch
  • De-tangles hair in the shower even without a conditioner
  • Prepares hair better for heat application, making it easier to flat iron or blow dry which ever you prefer
  • Has a nice fragrance
Con's of John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo :
  • Expensive for the quantity given
  • Fails to fight frizz in extreme humidity
  • Fragrance does not stay in hair for long after wash
Hair is straight and frizz free post shampooing with John Freida Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo

To Splurge or Not to Splurge :
John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo is a nice, gentle shampoo for Girls who need to straighten their hair every day. It definitely helped in bringing down the time I spent with my heated hair tools and on days when I let my hair air dry after a wash, they were left soft, smooth and shiny but not particularly frizz free. This shampoo was a one time purchase for me as I'm naturally blessed with straight hair which behaves well on most occasions.

Final Verdict :
John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Daily Shampoo gets a 3/5 from me!

    1. Hey Heena,
I am trying to find out too where you could buy John Frieda hair care products in New Delhi. Since I've always been a Mumbai girl, I'm sorry to say I really don't have much idea about stores in Delhi :-(
However I have a tip for you, try to find these in any beauty supplies store in Delhi or maybe some place which sells imported goods including self care products.
Hope this helps you out. I shall write back in case I find some information that may help you further.
