Lakme Earth Rose Blush Trio Review

Heyyy Girls!!!
I rarely make Lakme purchases except for the occasional nail paint because honestly, I always find their cosmetics to be of very sub-standard quality. Recently, while watching a fashion trends show on MTV I saw the host promoting this new blush from Lakme. Needless to say I found it quiet attractive and today I will be reviewing this product for all you Girls who simply swear by Lakme!

Lakme says :
"A palette of complementing earthy shades that are super easy to apply and perfectly buildable. The silky smooth highly pigmented formula allows for effortless, uniform application blending in easily for a gorgeous  glow. The three shades complement each other, to create endless options for defining, highlighting and accentuating features."

Lakme Earth Rose Trio Blush (picture without flash)

When I was a little girl, I remember my mother always wore make up from Lakme. In fact she still does! Not that she needs much of it but whatever little make up she used was/is Lakme. Over the years, Lakme has earned the trust of Indian women and I was hoping that they have also improved their packaging and product quality. With the newly launched Fantasy collection they most certainly have! Lakme has tied up with the immensely talented designer sisters Gauri and Nainika as the inspiration behind the Fantasy line of make up.

The packaging is very pretty, in fact it is exactly what had me floored. I love the way the blush is a combination of different shades of highly pigmented powder all put together in a circle. The different shades will help contour, define and accentuate your face. The product is in powder form which is extremely silky and a dream to blend with. The fragrance of the blush is just plain blah. I can only describe it as very chemical powder like. However once applied on your face, you will barely notice it.

Application :
You can use this blush trio all blended together as you would use a regular blush. But the USP of this product lies in the fact that you can also use it like a professional make up artist would.
1. The brown can be used to contour or outline your jaw bones. Do this by sucking your cheeks in and outline the jaw line.
2. The rose pink on the apple of your cheeks. Smile to let your cheeks rise up while you apply the pink blush.
3. The golden powder is used to illuminate and highlight your cheeks and the corners of your hairline going towards your ears.

Pro's of Lakme Earth Rose Blush Trio :
  • Nice packaging
  • Three different blush powders at the price of one
  • Silky, soft, well pigmented powder which blends well
  • Has minimum glitter
  • Can multi task as a highlighter and eye shadow
Con's of Lakme Earth Rose Blush Trio :
  • Awful smell
  • Case cover is fragile.
  • After regular use, the three powders in the blush get kind of messy
  • There is no applicator provided by Lakme

To Splurge or Not to Splurge :
Lakme Earth Rose Blush Trio was a one of purchase for me. I just bought it on a whim and did like it while it lasted. Unless you are a Lakme lover or like the concept of a highlighting, defining and accentuating powder all-in-one, you can definitely get this one.

Final Verdict :
Lakme Earth Rose Blush Trio gets a 3/5 from me!
