This is not the first time I've used Lotus Herbals products. As they are easily available in my city and have a wide range of products for all types of skins, I've picked up a face mask and scrub before. However, this was the first time I picked up their skin cream and serum. 

The packaging of the cream was pretty nice. It comes in a transparent glass pot with a silver lid. Lotus is clearly aiming at luring buyers away from other skin care brands with similar packaging yet cheaper products. The creme is white in color and pretty thick which was a bummer given this is supposed to be a Gel Creme. The fragrance is quiet nice and has notes of its herbal origins. You will like smelling this one on your skin. The creme when applied on the skin, as expected by appearance, is extremely heavy and is not instantly absorbed into your skin. In fact instead of brightening, it made my face look greasy and dull. Also the fact that I've applied a cream was very apparent.

Application :

After cleansing and toning your face, apply some creme on your face and neck. Massage into your skin.

Con's of Lotus Herbals White Glow Skin Whitening & Brightening Gel Creme :

• Creme is pretty heavy for being gel based. Does not instantly assimilate into skin. Leaves skin looking greasy, dull and feeling oily
• Definitely not meant for use by combination skin types
• With regular use (twice a day for two weeks or so) caused me to break out in my t-zone

To Splurge or Not to Splurge :

A big NO. Don't get taken in by the fancy images and words in the advertisements. This product was a huge let down for me. I'm not sure if after this one, I would re-purchase any other skin product from Lotus Herbals, even if it gets rave reviews.
