Since the wedding season is back again, I decided to review an old, trusted product I use as part of my make up for when I have to attend a wedding or any related events. Indian weddings are boisterous affairs all about flaunting what you've got. Heavy outfits with equally heavy jewellery are the norm. Needless to say, make up is equally important and if I may dare to add, has to be bold as the rest of your ensemble.

Today's product is a must have product for all girls. It can be used in conjunction with other cosmetics or on its own, you can also multi-task with it. Reviewing today, Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion with SPF 15.

Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion comes with a built in SPF 15 protection for your skin. The Illuminating Lotion comes in a pale golden tube with a silver cap. The tube has a pump dispenser to dispense small quantities of the lotion right in to your hands. Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion comes in two shades : Pink Light and Peach Light. Since I have a fair complexion the SA suggested I buy the Pink Light. The Illuminating Lotion is a liquid with a lotion like consistency. It is light pink in color and has lots of golden shimmer in it. You can see the shimmer better once your wearing the lotion on your skin. The shimmer is very fine and does not feel abrasive on your skin. nor does it look silly. It add a nice dimension, a gorgeous glow to your face and torso. The Illuminating Lotion has a nice fragrance that fades away after use.

Application :

Shake the tube well before use. You can use Revlon Skinlights Illuminating Lotion with a foundation or on its own. It is oil free and hence suitable for oily skin too.

Cons of Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion with SPF 15 :

• Expensive for a Revlon product
• Make sure you blend this well on your skin and keep it away from your eye and mouth area to avoid looking like a clown
• If you have a oily T zone or particularly oily skin that looks shiny at times, skip using this on your face

To Splurge or Not to Splurge :

If you have never tried an Illuminating Lotion as part of your make up, you have no idea what your missing. I recommend this as a must buy product for all girls. I may not re-purchase Revlon again and try something from a high end brand given there is not much difference between their prices and Revlon's. Buy an Illuminating powder/lotion today for the versatility of this product and if your confused on which one to try, Revlon is definitely a good option.
